RankIntel Privacy Policy

RankIntel ("RankIntel," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Icepick Development, LLC, a Texas limited liability company located at 1560 E Southlake Blvd, Ste 100, Southlake, TX 76092. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the RankIntel platform at rankintel.ai and related services (the "Service").

RankIntel is a business-to-business platform used by SEO and marketing agencies ("Customers") to perform local SEO work for their own clients. If you are an individual whose business information is processed because an agency uses RankIntel, please contact that agency; they control that data and we process it on their behalf.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password, and agency or workspace details.
  • Client and project information you enter or connect: business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, locations, keywords, and similar data.
  • Communications you send us, such as support requests and feedback.

Information from connected Google accounts (with your authorization) When you connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, or Google Business Profile, we access data from those accounts through Google APIs to provide the Service, for example search performance, analytics, business listing details, and reviews. See Section 4 for our specific commitments regarding Google user data.

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: features used, audits run, credit transactions, log and device data, and IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication and basic analytics (see Section 8).

Information from websites and public sources To run audits we crawl the websites you add and review publicly available SEO data such as rankings, citations, backlinks, and business listings for the businesses in your account.

Payment information Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. We receive limited billing details from Stripe, such as the last four digits of a card and billing status.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including audits, rank tracking, reporting, content, and AI features.
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts.
  • Process payments and manage credits and billing.
  • Communicate with you about the Service.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We use AI models, including Anthropic's Claude, to analyze SEO data and generate recommendations and content. We do not use your data, or data from connected Google accounts, to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

3. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) that host and power the platform, listed in Section 9.
  • Within your agency workspace, where data is visible to members of that workspace.
  • Legal and safety, to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Google user data (Limited Use)

RankIntel's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Service that you request.
  • We do not transfer Google user data except to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless: you give explicit consent to view specific data; it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law; or the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
  • We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

You can revoke our access to your Google accounts at any time through your Google account settings or from within RankIntel.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, after which we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion as described in Section 6.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at nick@rankintel.ai. Because we process client data on behalf of agencies, we may direct certain requests to the agency responsible for that data.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation that separates each agency's data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login and session management and limited analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.

9. Subprocessors

We rely on the following providers to operate the Service:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, hosting)
  • Google Cloud Platform and Render (application and worker hosting)
  • Anthropic (AI analysis and content generation)
  • Google APIs (Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile, Maps, PageSpeed)
  • DataForSEO (search rankings and backlink data)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Scrape.do (website crawling)
  • FatGrid (link marketplace data)
  • Hunter (contact discovery for outreach features)

We update this list as our providers change.

10. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
